As the Channel Marketing Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing customer-focused marketing strategies that drive profitable growth for the business and key regional retail partners across Quebec.
This is a hybrid role reporting to the Director of National Accounts & Channel Marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the dedicated marketing partner for one of CIL’s largest strategic customers and lead the development and execution of annual channel marketing plans that align brand priorities with customer business objectives and deliver measurable commercial results.
- Work closely with the Senior National Account team, Brand Marketing, Digital, Product Management, Sales and the customer's merchandising and marketing teams, to develop and execute integrated promotional strategies to enhance the shopper experience and accelerate sales and market share growth.
- Responsible for both strategy and execution of marketing plans, creates compelling customer presentations, writes creative briefs, partners with internal Graphic Design and external agency partners.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution and measures program performance to continuously improve marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
- Represent Marketing in customer-facing meetings and provide strategic marketing recommendations that support shared business objectives.
- Manage project timelines, marketing approvals and campaign execution to ensure flawless delivery across all customer marketing initiatives.
- Lead customer commercialization plans for new product launches across assigned retail channels.
- Analyze sales performance, customer data, promotional effectiveness and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead the planning and execution of customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, sales events and retailer engagement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in Channel Marketing, Customer Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Trade Marketing or Retail Marketing.
- Proven experience supporting national retail accounts or dealer networks within a manufacturer environment.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods, paint and coatings, home improvement, building products or related industries is preferred.
- Experience working directly with retailer marketing and merchandising teams is highly desirable.
- Experience managing creative and media agency partners is considered an asset.
