The Opportunity: We’re looking for an Administrative Assistant to be the first point of contact for our patients, helping them access the care they need while supporting smooth daily operations.
The successful candidate may be based at any of our locations within Edmonton or the surrounding areas. This role combines patient interaction with administrative support and is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and enjoys working with people.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries, and provide information about our home oxygen and sleep services.
- Book and confirm appointments, manage scheduling changes, and coordinate follow-ups.
- Send and receive faxes, documents, patient reports, and physician referrals.
- Update patient information and assist with record keeping using our EMR system.
- Assist with insurance submissions and related administrative follow-up as needed.
- Support general clinic administration, supply management, and office organization.
- Other duties as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative, reception, or customer service role
- Comfort with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Adobe) and basic office technology.
- EMR experience preferred, but not required .
- Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
- A compassionate and respectful approach to working with patients and families
