Instructor / Lifeguard / Assistant Instructor/ Aquatic Attendant
The Aquatics Division is seeking energetic, highly motivated and organized individuals to join their Aquatics team for the Fall session.
Phase 1: Application Process
Instructor/Lifeguard Qualifications: To be eligible to apply you must be at least 15 years old, possess the qualifications listed below and have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification or Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C and AED (or provide proof that you will have completed these certifications) prior to the start of the Fall session October 13, 2026.
Instructor:
- Swim for Life Instructor
- Lifesaving Instructor
- Emergency First Aid Instructor
Lifeguard:
- National Lifeguard - Pool
Assistant Instructor/Aquatic Attendant Qualifications: To be eligible to apply you must be at least 14 years old, possess the qualifications listed below and have a valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification or Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C and AED (or provide proof that you will have completed these certifications) prior to the start of the Fall session October 13, 2026.

- Pool Attendant
- Bronze Cross
Phase 2: Wet Screening
Applicants who are selected to move to phase 2 of the recruitment process will be notified no later than August 4, 2026, to attend a wet screening which will be held on August 9 – please save the date in the event that you are selected as it is a mandatory component of the recruitment process.
Phase 3 - Interview
Candidates who are successful at the wet screening will be invited to participate in an interview which will be held on August 17-18th, 2026.
Candidates must be able to promote a culture of inclusiveness and work with a diverse population of employees, participants, agencies and the public. All applicants will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Screening upon hire.
The hourly rate for the Instructor is $21.18, the Lifeguard is $19.47, the Aquatic Attendant is $16.60 and, the Assistant Instructor is $16.60 (2026 rates).
