Key Responsibilities:
Assessment and Rehabilitation: Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical conditions and injuries. Under the guidance of a head clinitian, develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs to enhance recovery and prevent future injuries.
Therapeutic Interventions: Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, exercise prescription, and other modalities to promote healing and improve performance for athletes and individuals with various musculoskeletal conditions.
Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care for clients.
Patient Education: Educate patients on injury management, rehabilitation exercises, and lifestyle modifications to empower them in taking an active role in their recovery.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed client records, including assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Registered Professional: Registered as a Kinesiologist or Athletic Therapist with the appropriate regulatory body in Ontario.
Education: Degree or higher in Kinesiology, Athletic Therapy, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Certifications: Current certifications in CPR and First Aid. Additional certifications, such as CSCS or First Responder, are an asset. Concussion management training an asset.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and address clients' needs.
Technology: Proficient in using relevant software and technology for documentation and communication.
