We are currently hiring a Process Technician for our client who is a food processing company located in Morrisburg, Ontario. The Process Technician will support manufacturing operations within a food-grade ingredient processing facility. This role is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, maintaining product quality, and ensuring safe and efficient processing operations. The successful candidate will work hands-on with automated systems to convert raw materials into high-quality finished products while adhering to strict food safety and regulatory standards. This is a permanent opportunity working on-site five days per week, available immediately.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and perform routine cleaning of processing equipment, including spray drying and milling systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and support day-to-day production to ensure minimal downtime.
- Monitor product quality and perform routine checks to ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP, GMP).
- Adjust key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to optimize production efficiency and yield.
- Conduct in-process inspections and support consistency of finished product quality.
- Follow established sanitation, hygiene, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and compliant production environment.
- Accurately document production data, including process conditions and quality results.
Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Process Operations, Chemical Engineering Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or processing environment (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or agricultural preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience working with production or automated equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP and GMP is considered an asset.
- High attention to detail with the ability to monitor processes and identify inconsistencies.
