We are a telecommunications company looking for a Field Service Technician.
This is primarily a field service position in Alberta with some shop activities in the Grande Prairie between field service work.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have an EET, Electronics Engineering Technician/Technologist diploma with 2-3 years field/work experience
Primary Duties:
Installation and servicing of Rig telecommunication and gas detection systems. This position requires good interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and other service personnel with rig/tower climbing experience a must.
Experiance in Combo units (generators,light towers,portable potty systems) will be given priority
This person must:
· have excellent interpersonal skills
· be able to represent the Company in a professional manner
· be able to climb derricks
· have a flexible schedule
· be able to work alone and is a self starter
· have the ability to learn on the job and do things as per Company standard operating procedures.
· have a valid driver’s license and clean driver's abstract
· be able to perform equipment lifting, installation and perform manual tasks
· experience with telecommunications systems and components
· live in or around Grande Prairie

Company truck, tools, safety gear and training on all equipment is provided for you to get to and from jobs safely and efficiently.
