Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role requires a strong focus on driving, heavy lifting, and adherence to transportation regulations. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in supporting our logistics operations and maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations within scheduled timeframes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload cargo, often involving heavy lifting, with proper handling techniques
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Adhere to all safety standards to prevent accidents or damage during transit
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated
- Proven experience in driving trucks or similar heavy vehicles
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations governing commercial transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Good communication skills for coordination with dispatchers and clients
- Physical ability to handle long hours on the road, including heavy lifting tasks as needed
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
