Summary
Rimbey Community Home Help Services (RCHHS) and Family Community Support Services (FCSS) is expanding our team of Health Care Programs Assistants that provide support to our Health Care Aides. This team processes all Home Care authorizations, fulfilling contractual obligations to standard processes and is the central call center for clients, Case Managers, and Health Care Aides.
Job Requirements:
· Current Active registration in the Health Care Aide Directory.
· Ability to work in a team environment that is fast paced.
· Excellent understanding of the role of Health Care Aides performing Home Care for seniors and adults with disabilities.
· Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
· Basic computer skills.
Duties
All duties assigned by the Health Care Programs Manager. Position is for 35 hours weekly, with some flexibility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of Health Care Aides, tracking and receiving, acceptance of Home Care authorizations and ensure all documentation is recorded and accurate as per contract requirements.
- Coordinate to set up training for client specific tasks for Health Care Aides and coordinate to schedule Health Care Aides.
- Assist with supervision and redirection of Health Care Aides as needed.
- Perform direct care tasks within the scope of practice of Health Care Aide level as needed.
- Ensure all client care changes are communicated to staff involved.
- Close client files when care is finalized and destroy client files that have been closed for 10 years when assigned by Health Care Program Manager.
- Client satisfaction Surveys, completing 25% of the clients each quarter to 100% annually as assigned by the Health Care Program Manager.
- Attend Education Sessions with the Health Care Aides when assigned.
- Assist with morale boosters for Health Care Aides through social events: appreciation, recognition and social fund activities.
- Attend nursing meetings.
- Participate in ongoing training needs for your role and area of responsibility in the organization when assigned.
- Take educational opportunities as needed or recommended by the Health Care Program Manager.
- · Assist with managing short‑notice schedule changes, sick calls, and coverage needs for Health Care Aides
- Reinforce organizational policies, professional conduct expectations, and scope‑of‑practice guidelines.
- Support communication with clients and families regarding non‑clinical concerns, scheduling, and service updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with FOIP, privacy, and ethical practice standards at all times
- Communicate client care changes and updates to affected staff
- Support supervision of Health Care Aides (day‑to‑day guidance, redirection, documentation support
