We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and energetic Bartender/Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable handling both bar and table service while creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Bartender – Thursday & Sunday | Server - Friday & Saturday
- Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Serve meals and drinks in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond promptly to guest requests.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked bar and service area.
- Monitor inventory and restock beverages, garnishes, glassware, and other supplies as needed.
- Process customer payments and handle cash or point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, servers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with setting up and managing karaoke nights, special events, and themed evenings.
- Follow all responsible alcohol service, health, and safety requirements.
Opening Duties
- Set up and organise the bar and service stations before opening.
- Restock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, glassware, napkins, and other supplies.
- Prepare garnishes and ensure bar equipment is clean and ready for use.
- Check tables, seating areas, menus, and service stations.
- Confirm the point-of-sale system, cash float, and payment terminals are ready.
- Ensure the bar, dining area, and guest areas are clean and presentable.
Closing Duties
- Clean and sanitise the bar, tables, service stations, equipment, and guest areas.
- Wash, polish, and properly store glassware and bar tools.
- Restock supplies for the next shift.
- Secure and properly store liquor, beer, wine, garnishes, and other inventory.
- Complete cash-out procedures, payment reconciliation, and required shift reports.
- Remove garbage and recycling and complete assigned cleaning tasks.
- Ensure all closing checklists are completed before leaving.
- Assist with securing the premises at the end of the night, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Smart Serve Certification is mandatory.
- Previous bartending and serving experience in a restaurant, bar, or entertainment venue is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, especially during busy karaoke nights and special events.
- Reliable, adaptable, and able to remain professional under pressure.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays, beverages, and supplies.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and late-night shifts from Thursday through Sunday.
Compensation
- Hourly wage plus tips.
- Tips are pooled and fairly distributed among staff based on hours worked and assigned roles.
Pay: $17.60 per hour
