Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Entree Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong background in the food service industry. As a Entree Cook, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while leading our entree station in meal preparation. This position requires someone who is organized, efficient and works well with others.
Responsibilities
- Prepare entree items for daily and weekly production needs while following Reesor’s recipes.
- Ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards.
- Follow proper cooking techniques, food handling, and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
- Open to learning new recipes and new methods of productions.
- Perform duties assigned by the Kitchen Production Manager and Lead Cook.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
- Monitor food storage procedures to ensure freshness and safety.
- Provide assistance in all areas during peak times to maintain smooth operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a food service or restaurant environment, preferably as a cook.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Understanding of various cooking techniques and comfortable reading and following a recipe.
- Ability to prepare a variety of meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Be accepting of coaching from the Kitchen Production Manager and Lead Cook.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in meal preparation and presentation.
- Ability to stand for up to 8hrs per day and the ability to lift up to 50lbs with no restrictions.
- Ability to work the occasional Saturday morning as needed.
- A passion for the culinary arts and commitment to providing exceptional products.
- Food Handlers Certificate
- CPR Training is an asset
