Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server/Bartender to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, efficiently handle food and beverage orders, and create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety, cash handling, and hospitality standards to ensure an enjoyable experience for all patrons. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server/Bartender will be responsible for serving drinks and food, managing cash transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout their shift.
Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve beverages and food items in a timely and professional manner
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations at all times
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, tables, and service stations throughout shifts
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations simultaneously while maintaining quality service
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar area as needed
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours
- Uphold all food industry standards related to hospitality, food safety, and responsible serving
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements
- Hospitality experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcohol
