Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely account reconciliation. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and excellent communication skills to support our accounts receivable and payable functions. The Billing Clerk will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of financial data and supporting overall financial operations.
Duties
- Prepare, review, and send invoices using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Manage accounts receivable by tracking payments and following up on overdue accounts
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently
- Perform data entry tasks related to billing and financial records with high accuracy
- Reconcile accounts to ensure consistency between internal records and external statements
- Analyze account discrepancies and resolve issues through negotiation and customer service skills
- Maintain organized records of all billing transactions for audit purposes
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to billing inquiries via phone or email
- Support account analysis activities to identify trends or discrepancies in financial data
Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting principles, and financial services processes
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation
- Excellent data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Strong analysis skills for account review and discrepancy resolution
- Effective negotiation skills for resolving billing issues with clients or vendors
- Good math skills for accurate calculations and financial analysis
- Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service abilities
- Familiarity with account analysis tools such as Account Analysis reports in accounting software
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities efficiently

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
