Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement using advanced tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft Excel.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and data visualization techniques for stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage and extract data from various ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and Hyperion to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct auditing procedures to verify the integrity of financial information and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Support research initiatives related to market trends, investment opportunities, and industry benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes through continuous improvement methodologies.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or business intelligence tools to enhance reporting capabilities.
- Communicate findings effectively across departments, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (CFA, CPA) are a plus.
- Proven experience with financial analysis within investment banking or financial services sectors.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with experience in VBA programming for automation purposes.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics GP; familiarity with Hyperion is preferred.
- Expertise in data visualization tools including Tableau and Power BI; knowledge of databases like SQL and Oracle is highly desirable.
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are preferred; excellent communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with accounting software and budgeting tools; knowledge of auditing practices is advantageous.
- Analytical mindset with strong research skills and the ability to interpret large datasets accurately.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment; strong attention to detail is critical.
