Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mandarin-speaking Home Support Worker to provide in-home care and assistance to clients with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Mandarin and possess a strong background in senior care, patient support, and home health services. Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication administration and ensure proper adherence to prescribed routines
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
- Support patients with dementia, disabilities, or chronic conditions such as hospice or nursing home care needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting as needed to ensure safety and comfort
- Monitor health status, report changes to healthcare professionals, and document care provided
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Support clients during outings or appointments as required
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin is required; proficiency in English is preferred
- Experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Background in patient care, nursing home experience, or home health services is advantageous
- Knowledge of dementia care, medication administration, and caregiving best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience
- Valid driver’s license is a plus for transportation duties
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and safety protocols
