This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Lawyer at Calvin Barry Professional Corporation. The Associate Lawyer will be responsible for defending clients in criminal matters, conducting legal research, representing clients in court proceedings, drafting legal documents, and providing legal advice and guidance.
## Duties
- Experience in criminal law and defence
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Previous experience in trial advocacy is an asset

- Proficient in legal drafting
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to conduct thorough research
- Familiarity with legal databases like Lexis-Nexis
