How your role will add to the story:
As a member of the Corporate Security's Global Security Situation Center (SitCenter), you will help ensure continuous global security support by monitoring and assessing risks across the Americas region, providing expert guidance to business stakeholders, travellers, and local security teams. You will play a critical role in incident and crisis management, coordinating response efforts to protect employees and business operations worldwide. Through strong stakeholder partnerships, process improvements, and collaboration with internal and external security networks, you will help strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s global security resilience and operational excellence.
A day in the life
Global Security Monitoring & Incident Management (65%)
- Provide Corporate Security's Global Security Situation Center (SitCenter) coverage as part of a 24/7 global support model.
- Monitor and assess global security developments, with a focus on the Americas region, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation measures.
- Respond to security incidents and support incident management activities in accordance with established procedures and protocols.
- Prepare security briefings, threat assessments, reports, presentations, and other intelligence products for senior leaders and business stakeholders.
- Track, document, and analyse security incidents, cases, and emerging trends.
Travel Security, Emergency & Crisis Support (15%)
- Support travel and expatriate security Programs, including travel risk assessments and related security processes.
- Provide security guidance to employees and business partners on travel security, event protection, and emergency preparedness.
- Support regional and global crisis management activities during significant incidents and emergency events.
Project, Process & Security Program Management (15%)
- Lead and support projects that enhance security operations, Programs, and team effectiveness.
- Manage and continuously improve assigned security processes, procedures, guidelines, and work instructions.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of corporate security Programs.
Knowledge Sharing & Stakeholder Engagement (5%)
- Promote knowledge sharing by communicating lessons learned, best practices, and security insights across the region.
- Support the implementation and adoption of security standards and incident management processes.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external security partners.
Vacancy Status: This posting reflects an approved, current vacancy and will be filled on a fixed-term contract basis for approximately 18 months.
Posting Range: $66,327 - $91,199
