Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our orthodontic practice. The ideal candidate will provide direct patient care, assist with orthodontic procedures, and provide a positive experience to each patient. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality orthodontic treatments. Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth and timely patient experiences and maintaining efficient office workflows.
Please note that our full-time office staff works Tuesday and Thursday in Sidney as well as Wednesday and Friday in Victoria (4450 Chatterton Way). We have a great work-life balance working 4 days per week and taking roughly 10 weeks holiday per year. Those staff wishing to work more often work casual in other offices when our office is closed.
Duties
- Prepare patients for orthodontic procedures by taking X-rays, impressions, and digital scans using iTERO and CBCT technology.
- Assist the orthodontist during various treatments, including bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance installations.
- Work independently for much of the patient experience.
- Provide patient education on orthodontic care, oral hygiene, and post-treatment instructions.
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized.
- Assist with inventory management of orthodontic supplies and materials..
Experience
- Ortho specific training will be provided. The "ortho module" is helpful but not required.
- Must have Certified Dental Assisting license in BC, Canada
- Must live in the CRD (Victoria and Peninsula)
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and CAD technology is a plus.

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
