Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Technician handy person to join our team. This energetic role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, providing a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for residents and guests alike. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in facilities maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across various systems including carpentry, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Conduct inspections using schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Operate woodworking tools and perform metal fabrication tasks to repair or modify structures and fixtures
- Manage work orders efficiently using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance activities
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and future reference
- Assist with facilities upgrades, renovations, or installations by interpreting schematics and technical drawings
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident or staff maintenance requests
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in facilities maintenance or related fields
- Strong electrical experience with knowledge of schematics and troubleshooting techniques
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in repair, welding, or fabrication tasks
- Experience using CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
- Ability to read technical schematics and interpret technical manuals accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide team members effectively
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving

Pay: $27.50 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
