Job Summary
We are seeking a person who has a passion for food and cooking. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, and/or sushi preparation, be dedicated to maintaining high standards of food quality and safety as a Sushi Chef/Cook
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sushi to be boxed and put in cold display case
- Cooking sushi rice, making sushi, prepping sushi ingredients, washing, sanitizing and cleaning equipment and work area
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed during food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food prep area, including proper storage of ingredients
- Monitor and ordering sushi ingredients to maintain inventory
- Provide excellent customer service
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or have 2 years of cooking experience and willing to be trained
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and food handling techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Good knife skills
- A passion for culinary arts with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to work morning shifts
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
