Responsibilities
- Supervise asbestos removal and remediation activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct inspections and assessments to identify hazards and develop effective abatement strategies.
- Train and mentor team members on proper use of tools, safety procedures, and best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all activities, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Ensure the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment during operations.
- Promote a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and conducting regular safety meetings.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts related to project sites as needed.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in hazardous materials abatement, specifically asbestos removal.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, regulations, and best practices in hazardous material handling.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage teams effectively.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and perform heavy lifting safely.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to liaise professionally with clients.
- Previous custodial or facilities maintenance experience is a plus.
- Certification or training related to asbestos handling is highly desirable.
Pay: $22.32-$35.72 per hour
