Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant Church's Chicken team. The ideal candidate will have a passion and background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, providing high-quality meals to our guests.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Assist with inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Participate in daily prep tasks, including making sauces, marinades, and other components of dishes.
- Adhere to all health regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
