Position Summary
Federal Screen Products is seeking an experienced and hands-on Shop Supervisor to lead our day shift manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this position is responsible for supervising daily production activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production schedules and customer deadlines are achieved.
- Plan, prioritize, and adjust workloads to maximize productivity and maintain an efficient workflow.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and support production employees and Lead Hands.
- Monitor production progress and proactively resolve operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Communicate production priorities and schedule changes with Lead Hands, Purchasing, and other departments.
- Collaborate with the Shop Checker, Welding, Screen, Passivation, Shipping, and other departments to ensure materials, equipment, and personnel are operating efficiently.
- Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance requirements as needed.
- Ensure all work meets company quality standards, procedures, and customer specifications.
- Promote and maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.
- Support employee training, development, and cross-training initiatives.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.
- Maintain accurate production records and provide regular updates to the Shop Manager regarding production status, priorities, and operational concerns.
- Work closely with the Project Manager regarding production timelines and order status.
- Support management with operational improvements and company initiatives.

Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and quality standards.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or manufacturing software is considered an asset.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
