Our client, a leading provider in the fresh food and grocery retail industry, is seeking a Merchandiser / Grocery Clerk to join their team. As a Merchandiser / Grocery Clerk, you will be part of the Store Operations supporting the grocery and fresh protein merchandising team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and excellent teamwork skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Merchandiser
Location: Mississauga, ON
Pay Range: $20/hr
Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM OR 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
What's the Job?
- Stock, replenish, and merchandise fresh protein products, including meat, poultry, and other refrigerated food items.
- Ensure all products are properly rotated (FIFO), within expiry dates, and displayed according to merchandising standards.
- Maintain attractive and well-stocked protein displays, coolers, and refrigerated sections.
- Monitor product quality, freshness, and packaging integrity, removing damaged or expired items as required.
- Assist with receiving protein and grocery deliveries, verifying quantities, and organizing inventory in refrigerated storage areas.
What's Needed?
- Previous experience in grocery, fresh food, produce, deli, meat, protein merchandising, or retail stocking is considered a strong asset.
- Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in refrigerated and cooler environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and support store operations.
