Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team in delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will oversee daily restaurant operations, supervise staff, and ensure a welcoming environment for guests. This role requires strong leadership, food industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills to maintain high standards of service and food safety. Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience, along with a background in food service or hospitality, is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers and host/hostess team members, ensuring efficient and friendly service.
- Oversee food preparation and serving processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Conduct interviewing and onboarding of new team members, supporting team management efforts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist in restaurant management tasks including scheduling, inventory control, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Lead by example in hospitality excellence, fostering a positive work environment.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations between front and back of house.
- Monitor restaurant operations during shifts to uphold service quality and operational efficiency.
Skills
- Proven supervising or team management experience within the food industry or hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols.
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.
- Leadership qualities with experience in interviewing, training, and developing staff.
- Background in restaurant management or hotel experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with food industry standards including food handling, serving, and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and management.
