Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated Line Cook/ Kitchen Helper to join our Kinton Ramen Newmarket. A passion for food and commitment to quality are essential. Experience with ramen or Japanese cuisine is a plus. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking dishes, following food safety standards, and keeping your workspace clean.
SALARY
- Line Cook / Kitchen Helper from $18/hour + Tips
(Raises based on Experience and Performance)

Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen stations.
- Operate dishwasher as directed. Wash and sanitize all glassware, dinnerware, cutlery and serviceware, ready for use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage.
- Support with inventory management through proper inventory counts and receiving procedures.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of previous restaurant kitchen experience.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Prior Ramen or Japanese cuisine experience is an asset.

Physical Demands
This job requires standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift, frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform twisting, turning, and reaching motions. Good vision and the ability to focus are also necessary.
