Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The Tutor will provide personalized instruction across various subjects, fostering a positive learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about education and committed to helping students succeed through tailored guidance and support. Specifically we are looking for a bilingual teacher to help our french immersion students as well as our English students.
Duties
- Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions in designated subject areas
- Assess student needs and develop customized lesson plans to address individual learning styles
- Explain concepts clearly and effectively to enhance understanding
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Provide constructive feedback to students and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
- Maintain a positive, encouraging attitude to motivate students and build confidence
- Support students in developing study skills, organizational strategies, and academic confidence
Skills
- Proven experience in Tutoring or Teaching in the Ontario school system
- Excellent Communication Skills to clearly convey complex concepts
- Ability to work effectively with children and young learners of diverse backgrounds
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for education and student development
- Organizational skills to plan lessons and track student progress effectively

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Application question(s):
- We are looking for a bilingual tutor who can help french immersion students with the basics of the language, including sentence structure and reading. Are you able to help students fluently in both English and French?
- We have 2 locations - one in Angus and one in Barrie. Are you able to make it to both locations every week? Hours are set so once assigned, they will be the same for the school year.
