Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Rebar Detailer / Project Coordinator to join our engineering and construction team. This role is responsible for producing accurate rebar shop drawings, coordinating projects between engineering, fabrication shops, and field personnel, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality rebar detailing services.
The successful candidate will collaborate with engineers, contractors, customers, and internal teams to manage multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, and infrastructure construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed rebar shop drawings and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Bluebeam
- Coordinate project workflows between engineering teams, fabrication shops, customers, and field personnel to ensure timely delivery of accurate drawings
- Review project specifications, structural drawings, blueprints, and engineering documents to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Manage multiple detailing projects simultaneously while maintaining accurate records of revisions, approvals, RFIs, and project communications
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, architects, and internal departments to interpret design intent and produce accurate reinforcement detailing
- Communicate professionally with customers and project stakeholders regarding project requirements, drawing revisions, schedules, and project updates
- Assist with quality control reviews to ensure drawings meet company standards, fabrication requirements, and client expectations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior detailers as required
- Ensure all drawings comply with drafting standards, safety requirements, and internal quality control procedures
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance detailing accuracy, workflow efficiency, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Rebar Detailer, Draftsperson, or Project Coordinator producing rebar fabrication drawings
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, RebarCAD, and Bluebeam
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction, rebar detailing, and reinforcement steel fabrication processes
- Experience coordinating multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and construction documents
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (French is considered an asset)
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience working directly with fabrication shops and understanding fabrication processes
- Ability to mentor and support junior detailers
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment
