Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Motor Coach Operator to provide safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services as part of a daily schedule route across Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating large passenger vehicles, ensuring passenger safety, and delivering excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, communication, and mechanical knowledge are essential. The position requires a valid commercial driver’s license and a commitment to maintaining high standards of vehicle operation and passenger care.
Duties
- Safely operate motor coaches along designated routes, adhering to traffic laws and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, seating, and inquiries
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness
- Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Maintain accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and team members to coordinate schedules and address concerns
- Ensure passenger safety at all times by enforcing safety protocols and managing emergency situations calmly
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained throughout shifts to ensure a positive passenger experience
Qualifications
- Valid clean commercial driver’s license - Class 2 (CDL) with passenger endorsement required
- Mechanical knowledge or experience with vehicle maintenance is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English for clear interaction with passengers and team members
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Proven experience in commercial driving or transportation is desirable
- Ability to operate large vehicles safely and responsibly under various conditions
- Good physical condition to assist with vehicle inspections and minor maintenance tasks
- Reliable work ethic with a focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism
This will be a new scheduled service working a minimum of five days per week, every week. We are looking for drivers in both Edmonton and Calgary.
Pay: $28.50-$32.50 per hour
