Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of machinery and equipment. This role offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles and industrial equipment, utilizing a broad skill set including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients' vehicles and machinery; and unlike most truck shops, ours is fully air conditioned!
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of automotive and industrial equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, heavy machinery, excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized machinery to complete repairs
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for maintenance or repair tasks
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues
- Perform heavy lifting as needed for parts replacement or assembly tasks
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
- Assist in the assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic with a strong background in automotive repair
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or industrial machinery is a plus
- Knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC units, welding techniques, and mechanical troubleshooting
- Familiarity with schematics, power tools, hand tools, and maintenance procedures
- Experience working with farm machinery or other specialized industrial equipment is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about repairs and maintenance needs

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
