Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipper/Receiver to join our warehouse team. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and timely movement of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving processes, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and the ability to operate various material handling equipment.
Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and accurately
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipt in the warehouse management system (WMS)
- Organize and store received items in designated warehouse locations
- Pick orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms
- Perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts, weights, and measurements
- Ensure all shipping & receiving activities comply with safety standards and company policies
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving procedures, and order picking processes
- Ability to operate order pickers and perform load & unload tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of packaging techniques suitable for various products
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Warehouse experience with a focus on accuracy and safety standards is preferred
