The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished goods either manually or using a hand truck to designated locations within the facility or onto trucks. This role supports overall warehouse operations by ensuring products are handled safely, efficiently, and accurately. The Material Handler may also provide general housekeeping support to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Performs various material handling duties manually or using a hand truck within the facility

Loads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as required

Stacks skids or pallets in assigned storage or staging areas

Loads and unloads freight in an efficient, safe, and accurate manner

Picks and packs customer orders, assembling various types of merchandise for shipment

Applies labels to shipments according to company and customer requirements

Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations

Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation

Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed

Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management

Provides cleaning and sanitation services as needed, including sweeping floors, cleaning office areas, and disposing of trash in designated containers or locations

Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area by following housekeeping and safety standards

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required by the role and determined by management

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
The base hourly pay rate for this posting is $19.00. The base hourly pay range is a guideline to provide our employees with market competitive pay, while allowing for flexibility to recognize and reward various levels of expertise, performance and tenure. The range listed is just one component of NFI's total compensation package for employees.
