Job Overview
Wellwise is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Pricing & Revenue Management Manager to lead the development and execution of pricing strategies across our retail, healthcare and service categories.This role will be responsible for ensuring that pricing decisions balance revenue growth, gross margin dollars, market share, competitive positioning and client value.The successful candidate will establish a disciplined, data-driven pricing framework and work closely with Category Management, Finance, Marketing, Retail Operations, E-commerce and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and maintain the overall pricing strategy across products, categories and channels.
- Establish pricing architecture, including opening price points, Good/Better/Best positioning, premium products and key value items.
- Recommend pricing changes based on competitive position, demand, cost, margin, market conditions and strategic objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve both revenue and gross margin dollars, rather than focusing exclusively on margin percentage.
- Develop pricing rules and governance to ensure consistency across stores and e-commerce.
Competitive & Market Analysis
- Establish a structured competitor-pricing monitoring program.
- Maintain price indexes by category and key competitors.
- Identify products and categories where Wellwise should lead, match or maintain premium pricing.
- Monitor market trends and identify potential risks to market share.
- Incorporate regional and provincial differences into pricing recommendations.
Healthcare & Funding Pricing
- Analyze the impact of government, insurance and healthcare funding programs on pricing strategy.
- Work with internal teams to ensure pricing appropriately considers programs such as ADP, WSIB, NIHB, AADL and other applicable funding models.
- Identify opportunities to optimize pricing while maintaining compliance with applicable funding requirements.
Revenue & Margin Management
- Analyze sales, units, revenue, gross margin %, gross margin $, product mix and price realization.
- Identify pricing opportunities at SKU, category, store, regional and company levels.
- Develop models to assess price elasticity and customer response to pricing changes.
- Conduct scenario analysis before significant pricing decisions.
- Measure results following price changes and recommend corrective actions where required.
Promotions & Markdown Effectiveness
- Evaluate promotional pricing and discount strategies.
- Measure promotional lift, incremental sales, unit growth and incremental gross margin.
- Analyze historical promotional periods against comparable periods.
- Recommend promotional depth and frequency by category.
- Identify promotions that generate sales without sufficient incremental profitability.
- Support development of markdown and clearance strategies.
Reporting & Analytics
Develop and maintain pricing dashboards and scorecards covering:
- Price index
- Competitor pricing
- Sales and unit trends
- Gross margin % and gross margin $
- Promotional performance
- Price changes
- Category performance
- Regional/store differences
- Funding implications
- Market-share indicators
Translate complex analysis into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner closely with:

Provide independent analytical recommendations and challenge pricing decisions when data indicates potential risk to revenue, margin or market position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in pricing, revenue management, commercial analytics, category analytics or related roles.
- Minimum 2–3 years of retail pricing or revenue-management experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with large SKU assortments and multi-location retail environments.
- Strong understanding of pricing strategy, margin management and promotional analytics.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong experience with Power BI or similar business-intelligence tools.
- Experience working with ERP/POS data; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or LS Central experience is an asset.
- Healthcare, pharmacy, medical-device or home-health retail experience is a strong asset.
- Experience with Canadian healthcare funding models is an asset.

Pay: $100,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
