Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Youth Worker to support and engage young individuals in a positive and nurturing environment. The Youth Worker will play a vital role in fostering development, providing guidance, and creating a safe space for children and adolescents. Duties
- Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and developmental needs of youth.
- Provide mentorship and support to children and adolescents, encouraging positive behavior and social skills.
- Assist with educational programs, recreational activities, and life skills workshops.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support youth development goals.
- Monitor youth during activities to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
- Maintain accurate records of participation, progress, and any concerns related to youth clients.
- Foster an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes respect among participants.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or adolescents in educational, recreational, or social settings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with youth from diverse backgrounds.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting youth development.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including some evenings or weekends if required.

- Child and Youth Care / Child and Youth Worker diploma
- Criminal background check / vulnerable sector check
- Standard First Aid & CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license
- UMAB or CPI
- References and resume showing relevant experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $23.75-$26.25 per hour
