Overview
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Grill Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment where attention to food safety and quality is paramount. The Grill Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to meet high standards of taste and presentation, ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests. Must be able to work during our busy weekend/holiday periods.
Duties
- Prepare and cook grilled dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is cooked safely and maintained at proper temperatures
- Serve food promptly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and kitchen area
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or supplies needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards
- Strong skills in cooking, meal preparation, and food presentation
- Experience with serving customers in a fast-paced setting is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and evenings as needed
- Food industry experience demonstrating familiarity with kitchen operations is advantageous
