Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and fluid top-offs, while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with automotive repair, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in automotive maintenance and sales.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes, fluid replacements, and basic vehicle inspections with precision and attention to detail
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Assist customers by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance or repairs when appropriate
- Conduct light diagnostic work to identify potential issues and communicate findings clearly
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Uphold safety standards by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures during vehicle servicing
- Support the sales process by promoting additional services and products to customers when suitable
Experience
- Dealership experience or mechanic background highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems and repairs
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance procedures
- Customer service experience is a plus, demonstrating strong communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for vehicle servicing tasks
- Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance roles is advantageous but not mandatory for motivated candidates willing to learn
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
