We are seeking a dependable, technically capable individual to build, install, service, and support mobile surveillance guard towers used on construction sites and other temporary locations.
This is a hands-on field position combined with business development. You will assemble and configure surveillance towers, install cameras and related equipment, troubleshoot technical issues, and visit active construction sites to introduce our solutions to project managers, site supervisors, builders, and general contractors.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working independently, managing their own schedule, and taking responsibility for completing work properly. We are looking for someone who is honest, humble, sincere, hardworking, and willing to go above and beyond for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and prepare mobile surveillance guard towers for deployment.
- Install and configure IP cameras, network equipment, cellular routers, antennas, batteries, solar charging systems, lighting, and related components.
- Deliver, position, commission, relocate, and remove surveillance towers at construction sites.
- Configure camera views, recording settings, remote connectivity, notifications, and system health monitoring.
- Test all equipment before deployment and verify reliable operation after installation.
- Diagnose and repair issues involving power, batteries, solar charging, cellular connectivity, networking, cameras, and mounting hardware.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance on deployed equipment.
- Maintain accurate service records, installation documentation, photographs, equipment inventories, and customer information.
- Keep tools, equipment, vehicles, and work areas organized and in good condition.
- Visit construction sites to identify potential customers and introduce our surveillance tower services.
- Build professional relationships with site supervisors, project managers, contractors, builders, and property owners.
- Assess each site and recommend appropriate tower placement, camera coverage, and system configuration.
- Prepare quotations, follow up on sales opportunities, and help move projects from initial contact through installation.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer questions and service requests.
- Follow all company procedures and construction-site safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience with CCTV, IP cameras, low-voltage systems, networking, security systems, solar power, batteries, cellular communications, or related technology is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of IP addressing, network connectivity, wireless communications, and remote-access systems.
- Ability to read technical instructions, follow wiring diagrams, and document completed work.
- Previous construction-site, field-service, technical sales, or business-development experience is an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable approaching construction sites and speaking with prospective customers.
- Able to explain technical solutions clearly without using unnecessary jargon.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Able to work outdoors in changing weather conditions and perform the physical duties associated with equipment installation.
- Valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record.
- Available to travel locally between job sites and respond to occasional urgent service requirements.
Personal Qualities
The right person will:
- Work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Be honest, trustworthy, humble, and sincere.
- Take ownership of problems and follow through until they are resolved.
- Have a strong work ethic and take pride in high-quality workmanship.
- Be willing to put in extra effort when a customer or project requires it.
- Communicate respectfully with customers, contractors, coworkers, and site personnel.
- Show initiative instead of waiting to be told every next step.
- Be dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and professional.
- Treat company vehicles, tools, equipment, and customer property with care.
- Be interested in learning new technology and developing both technical and sales skills.
