Swift Sure Milling & Moulding is a leading manufacturer of custom wood mouldings, siding, paneling, and architectural millwork. We are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to take ownership of our finishing department and automated flood-coating line.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of our finishing line, ensuring products are stained, painted, and primed to the highest standards while maintaining production schedules and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain our automated flood-coating and drying line.
- Apply stains, paints, primers, and specialty coatings to wood products.
- Mix, match, and prepare coatings to meet customer specifications.
- Monitor finish quality and perform quality control inspections.
- Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Coordinate finishing schedules with production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Track coating inventory and assist with ordering materials.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of wood finishing, painting, staining, and priming techniques.
- Experience with products such as Sansin, Cloverdale Paint, or similar coating systems.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience in a manufacturing or wood products environment is considered a strong asset.
- Forklift experience is an asset but not required.
