Gow Hastings Architects is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Proposal and Pursuits Specialist to join us at an exciting and pivotal time for our practice.
Position: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Toronto, ON (On-Site)
We’re looking for a skilled, resourceful and thoughtful individual to play an integral role in supporting our continued growth and strengthening our presence in the market. Working closely with our leadership, architects and designers, you’ll help shape how we position the practice, pursue new opportunities and communicate the story and impact of our work.
This is an opportunity to join an award-winning Toronto architecture and interior design practice with an established reputation for creating vibrant places for learning and discovery. The role works across strategic planning, new business pursuits, proposals and media outreach, bringing together strong thinking, compelling storytelling and an understanding of what makes Gow Hastings distinctive.
About Us
Our studio specializes in the design of buildings and spaces for education in the broadest sense of the word — anywhere people gather to engage with culture, knowledge and ideas. Through a deliberate embrace of the overlooked and the underestimated, for us no space has been too minor to matter, and no task too complex to complete. We have delivered over 500 projects, both small and large: from single classrooms to entire campuses; laboratory benches to research towers; culinary schools to skilled trades facilities; student centres to youth hubs; and Indigenous teaching lodges to outdoor learning experiences, among others. Working with light, colour and sustainable materials in creative ways, our interventions are thoughtfully designed to better help students and teachers to achieve their goals, researchers and innovators to do amazing work, the curious young and old to explore new worlds or diverse communities to come together on common ground.
We provide full multidisciplinary design consulting services, integrating architecture, interior design, sustainable and accessible design with functional programming, spatial planning, user engagement, visual communication and environmental graphic design. Clients include communities, municipalities, school boards, colleges and universities, public agencies as well as private organisations. We particularly excel at helping during times of change that call for renewal and imaginative rethinking of what is possible, especially when budgets are tight and timelines even tighter. Our team of architects and designers approach every project asking, how can we make a meaningful difference?
