Vistamere Retirement Residence is seeking a friendly and dedicated individual to join our team as part-time waitstaff. Our residence prides itself on providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our residents and their guests. As part of our dining services team, you will play a key role in ensuring that mealtimes are a pleasant and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Dining Service: Provide courteous and efficient table service during meal times, ensuring that residents' dietary needs and preferences are accommodated.
- Order Taking: Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen staff, ensuring special requests and dietary restrictions are communicated clearly.
- Meal Preparation Assistance: Assist with the setup and breakdown of dining areas, including arranging tables, setting up service stations, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Customer Interaction: Engage with residents and their guests in a warm and friendly manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary dining environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
