STORE MANAGER (FT)

We are looking for a Store Manager in our Urban Trail store at the St. Vital Centre to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, fun and professional work environment! The ideal candidate must have days/nights/weekend availability. In this role, you’ll bring extensive experience in employee engagement, training & development, and providing guidance and support to your team. You will showcase your interpersonal skills by continuously enhancing the satisfaction of our customer base. The Store Manager will provide:

· Your foresight in assessing and maintaining inventory, supply shortages and sales reports.
· Experience managing employees, providing coaching and mentorship to optimize productivity and increase sales.
· Experience in creating and conducting one-on-ones and performance reviews with all staff.
· Experience maintaining store staffing with the ability to:
o recruit, select, orient and train employees
o coach and develop, advise and guide
o plan, monitor and appraise job results
· Your natural leadership abilities; lead by example; coach employees as required
· A professional approach to addressing employee issues
· Experience arranging work and vacation schedules for employees ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained at all times
· Knowledge and expertise with approving and submitting biweekly time sheets and commission reports
· A positive attitude and professional experience planning, organizing, directing and evaluating daily operations
· Exceptional people skills and ability to build strong relationships
· Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
· Strong computer skills
· Experience with POS (point of sale) systems
What we’re looking for from you:
· At least 2 years of retail store management experience is an asset, however management experience in other industries will be considered
· Experience managing 5 or more employees
· Secondary school graduates or GED
· A positive attitude with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
· Computer skills: POS system, inventory control software, MS Office tools
· A passionate and engaged brand ambassador
· Communication attributes:
o English proficiency is essential for job-related tasks which include but are not limited to engaging with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations and options through your product knowledge; writing and delivering performance reviews; conducting one on ones with all staff; conflict management; and fulfilling all reporting requirements
o Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, team members, vendors, mall managers and head office, while exhibiting active listening skills to ensure clear understanding and excellent service
o Experience understanding and interpreting written materials, company policies, and operational guidelines to ensure clear verbal direction to the team members
o While English is required for work-related communication, all employees are welcome to use any language they prefer during breaks or personal conversations
o Communication in another language to assist customers who speak that language is considered an asset.
