Our Disability and Rehabilitation Services department is an in-house, self-insured and self-administered Plan that provides long-term disability benefits and in a transparent, non-adversarial manner.
We are seeking an experienced, relationship‑driven leader who excels at building high-performing teams, driving service excellence, and leading strategic change. With expertise in disability claims management, rehabilitation services, benefits administration, or a related field, you are committed to delivering outstanding client and organizational outcomes.

In your first three months as Manager, Rehabilitation Services, you will:
- Build your understanding of the organization while becoming familiar with the operational processes that support our Disability and Rehabilitation plan.
- Develop strong relationships with your Rehabilitation Specialist team, as well as with broader teams across the Disability and Rehabilitation department.
- Support the coordination of your team’s workload objectives.
Your responsibilities will increase to:
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing rehabilitation services team focused on service excellence and member outcomes.
- Oversee rehabilitation programs, case management practices, and departmental operations to ensure effective, compliant service delivery.
- Manage staffing, performance, budgets, and resources to achieve departmental goals.
- Provide leadership on complex cases, risk management, and escalated issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the development of best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance strategic priorities and enhance service delivery.
Qualifications for Your Success:
Experience & Education
- Completion of a relevant post-secondary degree such as: Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Social worker or Baccalaureate of Nursing.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in a senior disability claims management role with experience managing staff.
- Current registration in good standing with the relevant professional college, if applicable.

Knowledge, Competencies & Skills
- Extensive knowledge of disability management, rehabilitation services, group LTD plans, and policy interpretation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, developing, and motivating teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder relationship management abilities.
- Sound analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead change, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results in a complex environment.
- Commitment to service excellence, continuous improvement, and organizational success.
