Dispatch Planner / Driver Recruiter

We are currently looking for a highly organized and motivated Dispatch Planner / Driver Recruiter to join our Calgary Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating drivers, planning daily operations, and recruiting top talent for local and highway positions.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate next-day driver and equipment schedules.
- Review incoming job requests and assign drivers efficiently.
- Update and maintain daily dispatch boards and scheduling systems.
- Confirm driver availability and communicate assignments via phone, text, or email.
- Recruit and onboard qualified drivers for local and highway positions.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of experienced AZ/Class 1 drivers.
- Coordinate with customers to ensure all staffing and transportation needs are met.
- Manage driver time-off requests and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Develop contingency plans to ensure all shifts and assignments are covered.
- Provide daily updates and notifications to customers regarding scheduled personnel.
- Maintain accurate recruitment and dispatch records.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination.
- Minimum 2 years of recruitment experience, preferably in the transportation or staffing industry.
- Strong knowledge of the trucking and transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Professional email etiquette and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Previous experience recruiting and managing commercial drivers is considered a strong asset.

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
