AM EYES is seeking an experienced and proactive Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at our primary Markham location (7270 Woodbine Ave.), with occasional coverage required at our Toronto clinic (124 Merton Street).
The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter dedicated to optimizing patient flow and providing comprehensive support to our physicians.
Many of our patients speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so a candidate's ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin in addition to English is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting a range of ocular diagnostic tests, including Zeiss Humphrey visual field, Zeiss Cirrus OCT, autorefraction, pachymetry, and iCare tonometry.
- Performing preliminary patient work-ups, including taking detailed patient histories and measuring visual acuity.
- Assisting with patient care by administering eye drops as directed.
- Managing patient scheduling, communication, and referral coordination with external healthcare partners.
- Maintaining clinic efficiency through effective inventory and supply management, as well as digital and paper document organization.
- Serving as a key point of contact for resolving technical issues with software vendors and the Ministry of Health.
- Proficiently operating EMR systems (Oscar preferred).
A mandatory requirement for this role is prior experience with ocular diagnostic imaging.
