The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Rubber Liner to join our shop team. In this hands-on role, you will apply protective rubber linings to pipes, fittings, tanks, and custom fabrications. Whether you're an experienced liner or a hard-working candidate eager to learn a specialized trade, we provide the training, tools, and team to help you succeed.
What You'll Do
- Prepare steel surfaces for lining, including inspection, solvent wiping, and applying primers, cements, and adhesives
- Measure, cut, and fit uncured rubber sheets to pipes, fittings, tanks, and fabricated assemblies
- Apply rubber linings by hand, using rollers, stitchers, and hand tools to eliminate air pockets and ensure full adhesion
- Assist with curing operations, including loading and unloading the autoclave
- Perform quality checks such as spark testing, hardness testing, and visual inspection of finished linings
- Trim, buff, and repair linings as required to meet specifications
- Read and follow work orders, drawings, and lining specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and follow all health and safety procedures
- Support other shop activities (material handling, prep work) as needed
What You Bring
- Previous rubber lining, tire, conveyor belt splicing, autobody, or similar hands-on industrial experience is an asset — we will train the right candidate
- Comfort with physical work: standing for long periods, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to [50] lbs
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow written specifications
- Reliable attendance and a positive, team-first attitude
- Overhead crane and forklift experience an asset
- Ability to work safely in an industrial shop environment; safety boots required (PPE provided)
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience
- Paid on-the-job training in a specialized, in-demand trade
- Stable, full-time hours with overtime opportunities
- A well-established, growing company with a strong local reputation and global customer base
- Supportive, safety-focused team environment
