We are currently searching for a dynamic Dispatch Supervisor at our Montreal office. Reporting to the General Manager, Montreal Operations he / she will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the dispatch center located in Montreal, QC, serving Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Act as the front-line supervisor for designated dispatch staff.

Oversee the daily operations of the Montreal dispatch center, including the training and development of dispatchers.

Provide operational backup to dispatchers during their weekly review of drivers’ road sheets and cover shifts during vacations, absences, or sick leave.

Monitor and validate the accuracy of dispatcher entries within the computerized dispatch system (AS400).

Ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed in a timely, cost-efficient manner while promoting the highest levels of customer satisfaction and on-time performance.

Establish, monitor, and report on dispatch key performance indicators (KPIs).

Conduct annual performance evaluations for all dispatch staff.

Perform other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Post secondary diploma in a related discipline (logistics, administration, operations) or equivalent combination of experience and education.

Minimum of 5 years experience in inland transportation.

Management experience in a unionized environment is an asset.

Computer literate.

Bilingualism (French and English).

- Excellent communication and people skills.

Ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision.
