Shifts: Afternoon (3:30pm-11:00pm)
Job Summary
The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for the accurate and efficient execution of all daily shipping and receiving functions, including the unloading and verification of inbound component materials and the preparation, staging, and loading of outbound finished goods for customer delivery. The role supports smooth warehouse operations by maintaining organized inventory flow, ensuring proper documentation, and upholding company, customer, and regulatory standards for safety, quality, and food handling. It contributes to overall operational efficiency through strong communication, attention to detail, and adherence to established processes and continuous improvement practices.
Duties
- Complete all shipping, receiving, and storage activities for inbound materials and outbound finished products
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving area
- Rack product and prepare skids for shipping
Loading
- Review shipping documentation and verify product cleanliness, accuracy, labeling, and lot codes prior to loading
- Record lot codes on bills of lading and ensure proper documentation
- Set and verify trailer refrigeration temperatures (0°C / 32°F to 4°C / 40°F)
- Secure product through proper placement and shrink‑wrapping to ensure load stability
- Load trailers according to delivery sequence, close trailer doors, and apply seals as required
Unloading
- Remove and properly store returned supplies (pails, lids, totes, trays)
- Inspect trailers for defects or contamination and document issues in accordance with procedures
- Report sanitation or safety concerns to the supervisor and ensure corrective actions are completed prior to reloading
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving area
- Rack product and prepare skids for shipping
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment or distribution center is highly preferred
- Ability to perform daily housekeeping duties and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the shift.
- Food manufacturing experience considered an asset, with a solid understanding of GMPs, food safety, personal safety policies, and strict adherence to all safety rules.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing material handling tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to safely and responsibly operate warehouse equipment and machinery, including forklifts; valid forklift license required.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with supervisors, operators, and cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional weekends, as operational needs require.
