Northern Shores Pharmacy is a busy, patient-focused independent community pharmacy in North Bay, Ontario.
We are looking for a full-time pharmacist to join our team.
This role is well suited to a pharmacist who is clinically strong, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of patient care in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting.
We are looking for someone who can make sound clinical decisions, build strong relationships with patients and prescribers, and contribute positively to a high-functioning dispensary team.
Northern Shores is a locally owned pharmacy with a strong emphasis on service, professionalism, and practical problem-solving. Our pharmacists are expected to do more than verify prescriptions.
This role involves a mix of dispensing, clinical services, patient counselling, collaboration with prescribers, and day-to-day leadership within the dispensary.
It is a good fit for a pharmacist who values strong patient care, works well with support staff, and is comfortable helping to keep workflow moving in a busy environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review prescriptions for appropriateness, safety, accuracy, and therapeutic optimization
- Counsel patients clearly and confidently on medications, disease states, and self-care
- Provide pharmacy services within scope, including:
- minor ailment assessment and prescribing
- prescription renewals and adaptations
- medication reviews
- injections and immunizations
- opioid agonist therapy support, where applicable
- Communicate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to resolve drug therapy issues and support patient outcomes
- Support pharmacy technicians and assistants in day-to-day workflow and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Help manage competing clinical and operational priorities in a busy dispensary
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards
- Contribute to a patient-focused culture built around professionalism, service, and accountability
