Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our team. This role involves applying paint, coatings, and finishes to various surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, restoration, and industrial painting, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project requirements
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Perform restoration work on existing surfaces to improve appearance and durability
- Use rigging techniques for working at heights or on large structures safely
- Operate various tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other equipment efficiently
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper disposal of materials
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure project specifications are met with high standards of customer service
- Assist in the setup of scaffolding or ladders as needed for elevated work
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, or industrial painting projects
- Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, caulking techniques, and carpentry skills
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical instructions accurately
- Strong time management skills to meet project deadlines efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Experience with rigging and working at heights is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Prior experience in restoration projects is desirable
- Must be able to pass any required background checks or safety assessments
