Position Overview
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing high-value and complex restoration projects from initial assessment through completion. This role is suited to an experienced restoration professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent project management skills, and the ability to independently manage projects with significant scope, financial, and stakeholder complexity.
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring projects are accurately scoped, properly estimated, effectively managed, completed on schedule, and delivered to the highest standards of quality and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-value and complex restoration projects from initial assessment through completion.
- Oversee project scoping, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource coordination.
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates using Xactimate and XactAnalysis.
- Work closely with insurance adjusters, clients, consultants, engineers, and other stakeholders to establish clear expectations and maintain effective communication.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, costs, change orders, and project margins.
- Coordinate subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure work is completed according to scope, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, safety, and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and resolve project challenges, scope issues, and unforeseen conditions throughout the restoration process.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including estimates, photographs, notes, change orders, and reports.
- Manage invoicing and accounts receivable while ensuring projects meet corporate financial and performance targets.
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to clients, adjusters, and internal stakeholders.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Mentor and support Project Managers by sharing technical expertise, best practices, and guidance on complex restoration claims.
- Act as a resource to Project Managers on challenging scopes, estimates, project issues, and client or adjuster matters when required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety requirements, and applicable legislation.
- Participate in company initiatives, business development, and client relationship activities as required.
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as required.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 7–10+ years of experience in the construction and/or restoration industry.
- Proven experience managing complex restoration claims.
- Strong knowledge of restoration processes, construction methods, and project management principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Xactimate, and XactAnalysis.
- IICRC certifications such as WRT and FSRT are highly preferred; additional certifications in Odor, Applied Structural Drying, or Applied Microbial Remediation are an asset.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and the Ontario Building Code.
- Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, costing, margins, change orders, and invoicing.
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, proactive, and results-oriented.
- Strong commitment to quality, safety, customer service, and project profitability.
- Willingness to travel periodically as required.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $110,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
