Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Curb and Gutter Free Hand Former to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for shaping and forming concrete curbs and gutters manually, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on impactful infrastructure projects, utilizing your construction and carpentry skills in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools to shape, form, and finish concrete curbs and gutters according to blueprints and project requirements
- Read and interpret construction blueprints to ensure accurate placement and dimensions
- Operate caulking tools for sealing joints and ensuring waterproof integrity of formed structures
- Perform heavy lifting of materials, equipment, or forms safely during the installation process
- Assist in setting up forms, molds, and supports for curb and gutter sections
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Apply handyman skills as needed for minor repairs or adjustments on-site
Qualifications
- Proven experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or related fields
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Prior experience with caulking, heavy lifting, and general concrete forming preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures in a construction environment
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or bending
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile task execution
- Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
